The manager is excellant and he has a very good team in the restaurant nothing is to much trouble all very pleasant and smiling, the food is always good at this branch.
Everything was excellent - great staff.
Maybe a late snack menu for late arrivals in the hotel.
Dirty pillows and when asked for clean ones told there werent any! Also parking very difficult,as also used by restaurant.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooom was small but quite adequate and well maintained. Breakfast was brilliant! I would recommend the hotel.
Prompt and no fuss, it was a pleasant stay and is worth trying if you are looking to avoid the "big costs" but still want the conveniences and pleasure of a seaside break.
The seagulls seems to love standing by your window at 4 am making sure you hear them. A bit more effort aesthetic wise would make this place a very good and well priced accommodation.
The staff were all very helpful and the food was very good with the resturant being part of the Loch Fynne outlets with fresh fish every day.
The down side to this hotel was that our room was on the top floor and had to climb three flights of stairs the last one being very steep and narrow. The room was also very noisy there is a small door behind the wardrobe that bangs (we had to wedge it with some folded card) and you could here the staff counting up at the end of the night as the offices are directly below.
Great Restaurant facilities. Very good welcoming and helpful staff.
The hotel requires more facilities, larger bar, leisure facilities etc.
I stayed with my good lady on a Saturday night in early July. We arrived early and had a fantastic lunch, the fresh fish was beautifully done and we sat on the terrace and ate it with a nice glass of wine. The room was at the top of the hotel, up some stairs and warm in the sun. The fan in the room really helped though. We went to an outside function on Saturday night and got back late. It was nice and quiet and you can't here the road outside even in the morning when it was getting busy. We had a lovely breakfast and then walked down to the lovely sandy beach in Poole. A lovely stay in this hotel, the food is of particualr note, they obviously pride themselves on their fish.
The business was clearly primarily a high-quality fish restaurant, and the rooms were excellent with wonderful menus for breakfast and evening meals. Staff were extremely helpful.
Can't think of a word to say against the place, everything was just as expected from the booking (or better).
The staff were very friendly and helpfull, we had dinner in the restaurant and the food (mainly fish) was excellent, the breakfast which was included was first class and the room was very comfy and of a high standard, would definatley recommend.
As a mature couple travelling from New Quay Wales to attend a funeral my main concern was that the on site restaurant was good, which is was, the bed was comfortable which it was and there was parking. Not knowing our way around Poole the staff provided us with print outs of directions. The ambiance of the restaurant and hotel accomodation was calm and the decor was subtle and tasteful. Although our stay was for sad reasons the professional service and attention we received was much appreciated.
The location and food
Chef arrived an hour late to his shift delaying breakfast by 30mins. Was very good when it arrived though.
The seafood served in their restaurant is exquisite. I won't stay in the hotel again but I will definitely dine in the restaurant if I'm staying in the area.
The hotel consists of a few rooms above a restaurant, as a result it's quite noisy. Also, my room was very hot and I couldn't leave the windows open because of the smell coming up from the restaurant, so I couldn't sleep well.
It made our 29th wedding Anniversary a very pleasent one!
There was some work going on in the kitchen late at night, it did disturb our sleep, it was mentioned to the staff (who did apoligise) but didnt spoil our stay to be fair.
Good location. A short walk to a steep pathway down to the beach, but very pleasant. Nice breakfast - cooked to order. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Pathway to beach may be a bit steep for some. A little noise from adjoining rooms and from the kitchens below at night - at least from our room. No air-conditioning, so may get warm in the summer - a fan was provided though. Basic facilities, but worked well for us for the one night of our stay.
